Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank's back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers.

GENERAL FUNCTION: Works under the direction of the Regional Cashiering Manager. Manages and monitors all daily activity and responsibilities with in the cash vault, including but not limited to workflow, productivity, risk management, quality,customerexperience, and team engagement. Ensures staff compliance with the Bancorp policies and procedures, in addition to Cash Vault procedures and controls. Additionally responsible for quality assurance reporting, production optimization reporting,processimprovement recommendations and implementation, and training for all cash vaults

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the development and completion of quality assurance and performance metrics for all of the internal cash vaults, including but not limited to teller production and quality reporting, cash vault volumes, and dashboards.

Daily management of teller over-short and customer exception accounts for all of the cash vaults.

Proactively recommend cash vault process, workflow, quality, risk, employee engagement, customer experience, and staffing improvements, as well as implementation plans to the Regional Cashiering Manager and Currency Logistics Manager.

Provide training to other cash vaults to optimize daily performance and new customer on-boarding.

Daily leadership for all non-exempt employees within the Cash Vault.

Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day workflow in the Cash Vault.

Responsible for prioritizing work and delegating tasks to ensure proper coverage of daily functions.

Ensure that production and quality standards are met daily.

Ensure that vault procedures and risk controls are executed at all times.

Ensure that vault employees have appropriate access levels to systems and programs needed to perform their job functions.

Maintain optimum efficiency and cost-effectiveness in a high-volume, fast pace environment.

Oversee and assist in resolving escalated operational issues, customer service issues, and employee issues, in a timely manner.

Oversee the training of new hires to ensure a full understanding of the cash vault procedures, controls, and quality and production expectations, as well as the Bancorp procedures.

Ensure that all employees are cross-trained to understand and perform multiple job functions within the Cash Vault.

Meet individually with staff on a monthly basis to discuss monthly productivity and quality metrics.

Provide daily and individual incident coaching, as needed.

Conduct weekly huddles with all of the staff to reiterate expectations and discuss weekly successes.

Schedule service calls for equipment repairs.

Ensure employees complete all Bancorp compliance training courses before deadline.

Perform quality reviews for the cash vault in accordance with the monthly self-assessment procedures.

Cultivate a positive, engaging work environment and develop a highly effective Team Engagement Plan.

Approve/verify deposit discrepancies and error corrections.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback.

Responsible for developing employees to his/her fullest potential and developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Four (4) years banking operations experience, preferably, in a comparable environment.

Three (3) years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Strong math skills.

Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong Leadership Skills

Proficient with Microsoft office products Outlook, Word, and Excel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.

Extended viewing of a CRT screen.
