Fifth Third Bank's Wholesale division offers banking, cash management, and financial services to large and middle market businesses, government, and specialized industries. Our sales process drives the delivery of financial solutions through a relationship team consisting of subject-matter experts who ensure all aspects of our client's needs are assessed and met.

GENERAL FUNCTION: To work with sales representatives across affiliate lines, develop and maintain customers' relationships, sale of fixed income products, and oversee operational and administrative duties.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for sales back-up and operational support for a designated affiliate region.

  • Responsible for client contact and account supervision while sales people are out of the office.

  • Prioritize workload and meets all deadlines.

  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing MTD and YTD sales revenues and goals.

  • Offer optimum support to the managers by remaining aware of corporate goals and providing open communication with sales and management.

  • Ensure, maintain, and build excellent client relations by providing good knowledgeable responsive communications and follow up.

  • Identify sales opportunities and monitor, on an ongoing basis, account activities to maximize revenue.

  • Build relationships across department boundaries.

  • Provide good communication with trading desk on presales and restructuring of municipal underwritings.

  • Assists sales force in generating daily revenue through sale of proprietary products and of all fixed income new issues and secondary products across all asset classes.

  • Maintain and build current customer relationships.

  • Train and mentor new hires.

  • Ensure proper documentation for new and existing customers in order to be compliant.

  • Identify and resolve trade or operational issues.

  • Take ownership of customer needs and issues.

  • Perform special projects as assigned.

  • Handle all administrative duties for designated sales region.

  • Supervises and serves as the liaison between the accounting and investment analytics vendors and the sales force.

  • Act as a lead role in new account implementation and set-up.

  • Manages Taylor Advisor implementation and distribution.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Takes initiative to manage accounts on behalf of other sales representatives with minimal supervisory assistance.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Series 7 and 63 licensed.

  • Broad knowledge of all fixed income classes and proprietary products.

  • Able to independently decipher trade error and correct operational procedures.

  • Expertise with Bloomberg LLP and basic understanding of accounting concepts preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skills.

  • Able to prioritize and multi task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.

  • Must have broad knowledge of trading and bank office system policy and procedures.

  • Excellent office management and strong customer service skills.
