Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank's back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers.
GENERAL FUNCTION: Utilizing high-speed capture equipment, provides a high quality image of all transactional information (checks and or supporting documents); performs required maintenance to ensure the equipments' longevity; and follows all establishedsafety guidelines.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Possess complete understanding of all department imaging machines with ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on all equipment.
.Image checks utilizing Pass I function and encode and review quality of encoding during Pass II function.Provides high Level of communication throughout entire department as to volume needs and impending deadlines.
.Communicate issues quickly to ensure resolution before deadline.
.Complete accurate documentation of all mechanical issues, communicate issues to service provider and document the resolution of the issue.
.Identify and initiate all required service to support provider.
.Follow proper procedures to perform jam recovery.
.Collect and distribute batches of work from processing floor.
.Research and correct all rejects and missing items in a timely fashion.
.Research all items that did not encode.
.Research and recapture items that failed to capture properly during Pass I ensuring that corrections are returned to the work flow in a timely fashion.
.Perform routine maintenance on transports including cleaning of sensors and all tracks and replace MICR ribbons, belts, fuzzy rollers as required.
.Perform daily shift start up maintenance and again halfway through shift.
.Perform shift-closing procedures by cleaning machine and surrounding area.
.Complete all other work related functions deemed by management that are reasonable and support the business needs.
.Complete End of Day tray listings, verifying date, amounts and encoding.
.Monitor and adhere to production deadlines.
.Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
.High school diploma or its equivalent.
.One (1) year prior Imaging or related experience.
.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
.Strong PC Skills including touch screen capability.
.Extremely detail oriented and highly organized.
.Demonstrate problem solving skills.
.Able to handle fluctuating volumes and repetitive motions.
.May be exposed to dusty conditions and loud noises.
.Work frequently consists of repetitive motions/keying.
.Extended viewing of computer screen.
.Standing required, up to the entire shift.
