GENERAL FUNCTION: Member of a highly productive, industry leading team of phone/email-based treasury sales professionals responsible for business development (new and cross-selling), client service excellence, client retention, and clientconsultationsvia phone and email. Revenue growth and client retention are paramount. Highly motivated members who work under a One Bank team approach to understand the business environments, strategies, and industries of assigned clients to bestdetermine thefinancial needs and appropriate working capital management solutions to provide.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Management:

o Must be able to persuasively articulate Fifth Third's value proposition to both internal and external clients to influence the outcome within the sales process via phone / email communications

o Demonstrate ability to identify client needs and present working capital solutions to clients and prospects

o Demonstrate ability to understand payment and commerce solutions/ processes

o Demonstrate proficiency in knowledge of all strategic TM solutions and their benefits to our clients

o Understand competitions' capabilities and gaps and how to position 5/3's services against them

o Prepares and deliver quarterly client service reviews to upper tier assigned clients via phone / email

o Develop personal relationships via phone/email with client contacts of upper tier assigned accounts

o Devise and execute a plan to exceed sales goals

o Accountable for the development of a sales pipeline of both new and cross-sell opportunities and appropriately managing those to a win/loss decision

o Actively manage a pipeline using the CRM tool

o Maintain lines of communications with relationship team members (RMs) individually and as a group

o Review sales goals with RMs and ensure RMs are advised of calling strategies

o Educate and advise RMs of new TM product development initiatives and packages

o Assess knowledge level of individual RMs and bring each up to a minimum standard

o Partner with internal resources to provide recommendations on sales opportunities to include cross-sell opportunities to existing clients

Client Experience:

o Work closely with various client servicing teams to ensure excellent client service on an on-going basis

o Assist with general bank communications to assigned clients

o Take ownership and deliver timely resolution of client issues

o Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate response to client issues

o Understand and communicate implementation time-line to align with client expectations

o Ensure proper account documentation and all requisite agreement execution

o Communicate recurring or serious product issues to management

o Recommend viable solutions to improve client service

Leadership:

o Understands, appreciates, and promotes the history of 5/3 Bank, its financial position, operating model, and commitment to a positive client experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Undergraduate degree is required.

  • Prefer at least 1 to 3 years of experience in a financial services sales environment is preferred

  • Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding performance goals

  • Possess a strong desire to constantly strive to improve oneself

  • Must have strong client interaction skills and has demonstrated the ability to influence the outcome of a sales process

  • Requires the aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills

  • Ability to articulate the benefits of our TM solutions to clients

  • Proven product and sales knowledge sufficient to help mentor new team members

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide array of treasury management products

  • Excellent oral and written skills

  • Basic proficiency in PC software (MS Office)

  • Technical Treasury Management competencies:

o Understanding of Treasury Management products and solutions

o Ability to build upon existing client relationships

o Ability to evaluate client needs

o Basic understanding of financial statement analysis
