Middle Market Sales Associates are responsible for assisting the Middle Market Treasury Management Officers ($10M- $500MM) with various sales related activities, enabling the Sales Officer to focus on business development and revenuegeneration.Thisposition reports to the Sales Associate Team Lead. Responsibilities are to be completed with limited supervision, in a proactive manner and involve accountability for empowered decision-making. The goal of the position is to acquire theknowledgeandskills necessary to become a Treasury Management Officer with full account responsibilities and sales goals.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


. Support the Middle Market Treasury Management Officers in the sales process

. Call preparation, proposal generation, relationship reviews, customer research, working capital modeling, pricing and profitability modeling

. Serve as primary back up for assigned Treasury Management Officer

. Review and data mine existing Treasury Management Officer's portfolio for revenue/cross-sell opportunities

. Responsible for small sales opportunities as needed, with an appropriate sales goal

. Assume primary responsibility for assigned RFP sections. Complete accurately, meeting deadlines

. Work jointly with cross-functional deal team. Participate, coordinate and contribute to entire RFP pricing process

. Support sensitive/escalated customer service and implementation issues

. Assist in cross-training partners and other lines of business on TM products/solutions

. Assist in coordinating training of clients and partners

. Assist Treasury Management Officer with entering/updating pipeline, client information and deal information on applicable system

. Complete special projects when applicable

. Ability to travel approximately 10% - 20% per month, many time on short notice



. Minimum 5 years of Treasury Management experience

. Strong verbal and written communication skills

. Financial analysis knowledge

. Strong creative solution and problem solving skills

. Critical thinking skills

. Insight modeling and pricing performance knowledge

. Proven track record of client interactions and proactive solution development

. Initiative and ability to independently solve practical problems and manage multiple tasks|

. Possesses knowledge and understanding of Fifth Third products, Risk and compliance environment, discounting/refund discipline and pricing philosophy, preferred

. Knowledge and ability to use various PC and Internet-based systems to manage their business responsibilities
