Fifth Third Bank's Wholesale division offers banking, cash management, and financial services to large and middle market businesses, government, and specialized industries. In addition to traditional lending and depository offerings, our commercial products and services include global cash management, foreign exchange and international trade finance, derivatives and capital markets services, asset-based lending, real estate finance, commercial leasing, and syndicated finance. Responsible for achieving fee income goals established for department through management and development of senior department staff, and through relationships with clients/prospects and industry associates.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


. Determine account and geographic/industry coverage.

. Develop working relationships with key Fifth Third affiliate personnel to achieve mutual goals.

. Encourage working relationship between Public Finance staff and Trading Desk and Institutional Brokerage.

. Provide investment banking services to selected key relationships as part of team coverage.

. Assist group Manager in developing and maintaining incentive compensation system(s) that reward goal attainment and promotes departmental continuity of personnel.

. Work with Group Manager to determine departmental and individual goals and objectives.

. Develop, manage, motivate and recruit professional staff consistent with meeting departmental goals.

. Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory groups and agencies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback, developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employeecareergrowth;developingtheappropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.


. MBA, MPA or equivalent advanced degree required

. 8 years experience in public finance banking or related field

. Supervisory experience of senior banking staff preferred

. Series 7, 53 and 63 licenses required

. Thorough knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for public finance activities.
