Fifth Third Information Technology is comprised of several areas including: Commercial IT, Consumer IT, Payments IT, Infrastructure IT, Enterprise and Corporate Applications as well as IT Security and Risk.
GENERAL FUNCTION: Part of the systems engineering job family responsible for the oversight,
design and engineering of Fifth Third End User computing hardware systems (i.e. Windows 7, 10, SCCM 2016, Apple, and Citrix). Coordinates projects and implements new technologies containing high levels of complexity. Technical hands-on manager and seen as expert in the end user computing field.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating
concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always
doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive
a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results
by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as a technical expert in the design and engineering of end user computing hardware systems
Develops project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects
and communicates this information to senior management and the business unit.
- Plays a key role as the lead technical architect for projects. Responsible for detailed technical
architecture and design for complex projects.
Delegates assignments to other staff members
Oversees the advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution functions for end user hardware systems
Acts as the highest-level technical expert addressing Windows 7, 10, SCCM 2016, office 365 Apple, and Citrix technology areas. Knowledge of data and voice networking is preferable. Well rounded experience in each area, however an emphasis in one area is acceptable
Provides strategic development recommendations for new end user computing technologies
Researches new technologies and recommends process improvement solutions as it relates to
the recommendation, installation and networking of new Windows Systems.
- Responsible for systems performance and resolution of production incidents, which may require
Liaison to Operations teams to transition day-to-day duties for new technologies being implemented

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations.
5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple, large cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of End User Computing systems
Hand on knowledge of Active Directory, scripting, Windows 7 and 10, SCCM 2016, Office 365, Citrix, Cisco ISE, Apple experience a plus
