GENERAL FUNCTION: Leads all aspects of product strategy for a given product or product family within Digital Lending. This role has end-to-end responsibility for driving customer, employee and shareholder outcomes through effective design,distribution,and servicing of the product. The Product Manager will work in partnership across the organization to ensure business success. Critical interfaces include our distribution channels (physical and digital), our second and third line riskexperts and our design, development and operations groups.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating
concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always
doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a
positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results
by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Effectively manage existing products to deliver maximum sustainable value for our shareholders and our customers
o Ensure competitiveness of product through core feature design
o Ensure sustainability through effective risk governance (including recommendation of credit and fraud risk policies and ensuring operational adherence to policy and results within our defined risk appetite)
o Ensure products achieve target standalone economics through effective risk-based pricing incorporating historical as well as projected credit performance in addition to current and projected competitive dynamics
o Ensure profitable growth through the development of distribution strategies (in partnership with Marketing and Channel organizations), monitor and drive continuous improvement in our overall distribution strategy
. Comprehensive, expert and effective first line risk management for products managed
o Thought leader within the bank (and industry) on the risks associated with the product(s) across all risk types and inclusive of strategic, fraud and cyber risks
o Drive analysis (in first and second line) to inform risk policy
o Develop processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policy
o Rapidly escalate issues and conflicts that have potential to materially adversely impact the Bank's risk position
. Actively and constructively contribute as a leader in Digital Lending
o Contribute to the overall direction setting for the team # product and channel prioritization, capability builds, partnership opportunities (internal and external), etc.
o Serve as a thought partner and resource to other team members # active obligation to share expertise, ideas for growth opportunities, potential risks, etc.
o Be an ambassador for Digital Lending across the bank and the industry # our vision, our strategy, and our way of working
May be responsible for the management of subordinates.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
.Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, economics or related business field.
.Four years product management, development and/or strategy experience, preferably within the financial industry.
.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
.Strong analytic skills and proficiency with analytic tools (e.g. Excel).
