Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the process of identifying, quantifying and managing the risks that an organization faces while applying it to the overall Bank Strategy. While it is impossible to remove all risk from the organization effective risk management requires a strong risk culture and risk governance. Risk culture is the system of values and behaviors within the organization that shapes the day-to-day decisions that we all make. Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Compliance Analyst I
GENERAL FUNCTION: The research analyst will be the workflow coordinator and primary LOB and Business Controls contact for the CDD team. The research analyst will assist with the evaluation of risk and determining the appropriate measure of compliance, as defined by the Bank Secrecy Act and CDD Policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
#Serve as the primary point of contact for workflow creation and support.
#Assign new and periodic reviews timely based on the 3 year projection schedule and business need arising from referrals and onboarding requests.
#Keep the EDD mailbox organized and escalate issues to CDD management as appropriate.
#Provide project support as needed and support management to drive enhancements, creation and implementation of procedures in support of the FCC policy
#Contribute to program enhancements such as improving AML on-boarding controls through direct interaction with the CORE and Business Control teams
#Assesses the quality of documentation and ensures that the required CDD processes are followed.
#Collaborates with different lines of business, including other areas of Financial Crimes Compliance, in gathering all required information to satisfy CDD requirements.
#Composes internal memos, communications and reports detailing analysis findings.
#Exits account relationships where customers are not providing adequate information and/or not adhering to policies and procedures.
#Assists CDD Management in the implementation of new methods, processes and procedures to make daily operations more efficient and to satisfy AML banking regulations.
#Refers customer's to AML Investigations if suspicion that the customer is involved in money laundering, fraud, or terrorist financing.
#Willing to invest time to ensure team goals, deadlines, and productivity expectations are met.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
#Two to five plus (2-5) years experience in compliance, investigative work, or a related field.
#Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience.
#Preferred knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering efforts, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC.
#Strong oral and written communication skills with strong ability to build consensus.
#Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
#Proactive in identifying potential concerns and following-up to resolve such issues.
#Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
#Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
