Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the process of identifying, quantifying and managing the risks that an organization faces while applying it to the overall Bank Strategy. While it is impossible to remove all risk from the organization effective risk management requires a strong risk culture and risk governance. Risk culture is the system of values and behaviors within the organization that shapes the day-to-day decisions that we all make. GENERAL FUNCTION: Analyzes, investigates and reports on cases involving potential Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Terrorist Financing activity to ensure the Bank is in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
#Reviews and analyzes suspicious alerts generated by the Bank's Anti-money Laundering software system in accordance with regulatory expectations.
#Investigates financial transactions, determines the outcome of an investigation, documents findings and completes cases within a specified time frame.
#Writes Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
#Exits account relationships that are determined to be high-risk.
#Provides support and communicates a series of complex data and events with branch personnel and other lines of business that are reporting on suspicious activity.
#Reviews and interprets financial documents and/or business paperwork.
#Acts on the Bank's behalf in regards to calls from law enforcement requesting additional information and/or supporting documentation.
#Possesses working knowledge of fraud detection and current AML trends.
#Works with various business units, including Commercial, Trust, Mortgage and Brokerage, to understand the alerted activity and to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
#Maintains minimum workflow standards and assumes additional responsibilities.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
#Two plus years experience in compliance, investigative work, or a related field.
#Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience.
#Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering efforts, and USA PATRIOT Act.
#Strong oral and written communication skills.
#Strong organization skills and above average attention to detail.
#Ability to multi-task, works independently, and meets deadlines.
#Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
#Strong teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
#Ability to make difficult decisions with little supervision.
