GENERAL FUNCTION:

The position reports directly to the Wealth Planning Production Manager. The Senior Analyst's primary goal is to ensure that the wealth plans provided across the Bancorp by the Wealth Planning Analyst Group are done in the mostcomplete, accurate and efficient manner possible. The Senior Analyst will provide the analysis and production of more complex financial plans for Wealth Planners and provide the analysis, production and delivery of less complex plans for Client Advisorson an as-needed basis. The Senior Analyst will assist in the training and supervision of Wealth Planning Analysts and Junior Analysts, monitor and disseminate best financial planning practices for the group, and assist the Analyst Manager with productionand processing initiatives and goals.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide professional consulting / advisory services and solutions to clients through the development, delivery and implementation of financial planning: cash flow, investment, tax, insurance, options, retirement, estate

  • Review all wealth plans produced by Wealth Planning Analysts for accuracy, completeness, sufficiency, and overall comprehensiveness within the scope of the engagement

  • Coach and counsel Wealth Planning Analysts and Junior Analysts on wealth planning techniques, planning software, and general wealth plan production.

  • Assist with the development and presentation of training programs associated with Wealth Planning for both internal and external clients and Client Advisors

  • Be proficient in profiling clients and be able to articulate planning concepts to both clients and Client Advisors

  • Serve as a mentor to PCAs in the final stage of their certification process

  • Be responsible for special projects regarding process and product improvements

  • Gain advanced software and systems experience

  • Assist in executive planning engagements and other initiatives to enhance the sale of planning services throughout the Bancorp

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing Wealth Planning Analysts and Junior Analysts timely, candid and constructive plan performance feedback. Serve as supervisor (mentor) to PCAs going through the certification process.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • JD preferred

  • Advance degree or financial planning accreditation including CFP, CTFA, MBA, CPA

  • Minimum five years of related work experience

  • Must have technical competence in estate, tax, option, retirement, insurance, investment and cash flow/capital needs wealth planning analysis

  • Advanced listening, written, and oral communications skills

  • Resourcefulness in finding creative solutions

  • Ability to process, analyze, and articulate advanced planning solutions

  • Ability to travel Bancorp wide to assist in planning sessions, training and possible client sales meetings
