Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank's back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers.
Assists the ACH Supervisor with first level coordination of workflow for servicing and execution of high dollar/high value international and domestic funds transfer activities. Additionally, monitors productivity and ensuresstaffcompliance with Bancorp policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Workflow 60% of time
. Coordinate and manage day-to-day workflow and inbound call routing in production-oriented department
. Responsible for prioritizing work and delegating tasks to ensure proper coverage of functions
. Oversee and assist in resolving escalated operational and customer service and/or personnel issues
. Responsible for monitoring individual and team productivity and quality, and providing feedback to management
. Identify and implement work efficiencies through process improvement techniques
. Identify and coordinate implementation of new system features, products and operational procedures for system and processing enhancements
. Demonstrate mastery of all area equipment and related non-exempt responsibilities
. Ensure high dollar/high value payment execution applications and relative transfer activities are executed within real time service levels and associated systems are balanced in conjunction with Bancorp Treasury desk prior to end of day close;
. Manage the banks intraday overdraft position with clearing networks (i.e. The Clearing House, Federal Reserve)
. Ensure departmental procedure guides remains current and in compliance with all mandated, Bank and Federal guidelines
. Utilizes ACE, Mobius, and PEP + for research and processing
. Collaborates proactively/effectively with team to achieve departmental goals
Employee Leadership tasks 30% of the time
. Ensure that production standards are met and maintained and perform associated tracking and reporting
. Oversee training of new hires, ensuring a full understanding of departmental and Bank procedures as well as individual job responsibilities. Promote teamwork and the cross training of employees.
. Oversee the monthly monitoring of Customer Experience calls for each processor and provide feedback for managements use
. Provide recommendations with regard to performance appraisals, promotions, and disciplinary actions for subordinate employees.
Other activities 10% of time
. Perform all work in accordance with established health and safety procedures.
. Perform any other duties as assigned.
. Attend training as needed.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
. Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required
. Must be an internal bank candidate with at least one-year bank experience or an external bank candidate with two years prior banking experience; preferably in areas qualified as "high risk"
