GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Regional Communication Manager will play a leadership role in reputation management and public relations efforts for multiple regions. Provides strategic reputation management and communications counsel to theRegionalPresident,market presidents and senior leadership team within a Region. Leads creation of local reputation and public relations strategy and tactics based on research, market position, growth opportunities and company vision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Leads effort to effectively enhance reputation in the regions. Shapes and protects Bank reputation and brand. Creates and executes reputation plans including research, strategy, planning, and execution.

. Leads regional public relations and proactive media efforts.

. Understands competitive landscape and encompasses in reputational and PR strategy.

. Facilitates external communication efforts including speaking with media, media training and coaching for Regional President(s), Market President(s) and Line of Business leaders.

. Crisis/issues management.

. Develops strategy and manages grassroots public relations campaigns.

. Builds advocacy for the Bank internally and externally.

. Works with Bancorp social media team to support Enterprise initiatives and local opportunities.

. Ensures activities directly or indirectly drive business and positive reputation for the region and the Bank, and that the brand is protected.

. Interacts directly with Regional President(s) to address or act upon opportunities.

. Collaborates with the Resource Team Manager and Resource Communicators to ensure internal communications and public relations efforts best represent regional and Bank needs.

. Partners with Community & Economic Development (CED) team on the development and execution of the Community and Reinvestment Act (CRA) Market Execution Plan, driving to an outstanding rating.

. Works closely with (CED) team to identify strategic PR opportunities based on grassroots, community outreach including LIFE programs.

. Works to receive necessary approvals through Corporate Marketing, Legal teams and Concept Share as needed.

. Ensures adherence to Bancorp and line of business polices/procedures as the first line of defense.

. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, andensuresthatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

. Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field required. An advanced degree is preferred.

. Eight (8) or more years experience in public relations, media relations or communications field.

. Prior experience in public and media relations/corporate communications required.

. Prior experience in financial/banking industry is highly desirable, but not required.

. Previous project management experience.

. Strong oral and written communications skills.

. Strong attention to detail.

. Strong organizational skills.

. Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to collaborate.

. Knowledge of the practices and current issues of the industry preferred.

. Some travel required.
